My old botany prof, a Franciscan friar (yes, like in "Romeo and Juliet"), always wanted to see the sexual reproduction of R. Nigricans. Even though some of his samples came from as far away as California, the reproduction was always asexual (which actually doesn't say much for California, does it?). Finally, I sent him some from Korea and lo and behold! he died before it arrived.
