She would not be "ripping off" the artists. She OWNS those CDs, and is entitled to a copy of them. The fact that someone else got hold of them doesn't change the fact that she owns them. She has already done right (presumably) by those artists by buying them, so they are not in any way impoverished by her having a copy.
