Sanctity could be one of the ecclesiastical names that were popular in Britain about 200 years ago, particularly if the family is Catholic. Examples from the UK, circa 1820 include Chastity, Grace, Charity, Hope, Faith.... Catholic names include Constanzia, Assumpta, Conceptiona, Virgine, get the drift?

Beats the heck out of Chardonnay, Chelsee, Sharalee, Britnee and Courtnee that seem to be all the rage now.
