I was once working at an office, and two customers stopped by to pick up some medicine. One guy told me that the other guy had just become a dad. I gushed and said nice things, then asked, "And what did you name the baby?" The new dad said, "Titus Elijah." To which I laughed and asked, "You're joking, aren't you?" The first guy shook his head and said, "No."

I've put my foot in my mouth many, many times, but now I just prepare for unusual names and am never shocked.
