I'm still not entirely recovered (and I know, because I'm checking into these Mudcat threads about 30 times a day, as if to keep the Getaway going), but I want to thank the people who put in a ton of work to make the Getaway go: Dolores Nichols, who did the lion's share of the behind the scenes organizing; Rita Ferrara, who had the best program EVER (in my memory, at least) for the Getaway; Jennifer Woods (knitpick), who did all the registration and the lists nad the keeping track of money, and the buttons and brochures and graphics and newsletter publicity and.. and..; Dennis Cook and Don Nichols, who took care of sound equipment and a whole batch of other accoutrements; Debby McClatchy, who cooked for a lot of people in tight quarters; the National Park Service Rangers who supplied us with light bulbs when things went dark and who allowed us to stay in the camp even though the sewer line servicing Units C, D, and E was broken; and everybody who came, Mudcatter or not, because it was the participants who made the music and the conversation and entertained and inspired each other.
