Roughyed, from the recording, I'd guess Nelly's belly is "icky smelly" from that fish. I don't know if "too brisk" could be it in the next line, but I can't of a better alternative.
But is this the original song, or is it a New Jersey version? Isn't Wildwood Bay not far from Cape May?
