My school library actually has the Uncle Terwilliger book. The music notation is included- now I can't remember who wrote/arranged it. It isn't nearly as good a tune as the now better known arrangement- it isn't even in waltz time! No matter how you feel about this song (and Art T. has been notably absent from any discussion of late) it's gotta be a waltz!
And it's one of the most loved songs in tbe school- one of the only ones even the fifth graders will sing in assembly!
