Many financial advisors urge their clients, including small investors, to diversify their portolios by putting some money in international mutual funds, which are sponsored by U.S. fund companies, such as Fidelity, T. Rowe Price, and Vanguard. Does the fund you refer to fall in this category? If so, I don't see a contradiction.
