Speaking of sex education, it wasn't until my son was born and my wife was breast-feeding him, that I learned some things about breasts and nipples. For one thing, I had always believed the breast milk came out of one tiny hole in the center of the nipple, just like on a plastic baby-bottle nipple. But no, it comes out of several tiny holes (I still don't know how many—6? 8?) around the perimeter of the nipple. The center is just a knob for the baby to hang onto, I guess. (Plus...well, we won't go into that.) Also, nipples turn brown during pregnancy, and then gradually fade to pink again afterwards. Who knew?
