Who knows? The important thing is, it inspired William McGonagall to pen another breathless account of the society around him. His keen eye and gift for rhyme can take any mundane incident and raise it into an unforgettable catastrophe!
Amos, I am giving serious thought to what you have said. If it is God's will that I should perish by the noose or by hedgehog attack or by impaling myself on a letter opener...well, then, as McGonagall suggests, it MUST come to pass. There is no escaping the inexplicable hand of destiny, is there?
Having said that, I think it would be good to once again hear Little John Cameron's brilliant paraphrasing of Hamlet's Soliloquy...I remember that fondly.
brucie - I have access to ALL the works of William McGonagall. I gained this privilege through holding a high position in the WSSBA. I do not intend to reveal more than that, but I may PM you something on it, cos you are a great guy and you deserve to enjoy daily exposure to McGonagall.
