I live in the UK, unhappily over 6 km from a broadband-enabled exchange so I am stuck with a dial-up until British Teecommunications PLC extends the range to 10 km. Just when I was about to resign meself to this for ever, in the pub last night a bloke (a very nice bloke though) tells me about this http://www.juiceboosted.com/index.php which is supposed to be a free- for-ever broadband service using innovotaive file compression technology and a transfer speed - 4 times faster than broadband, though it does seem to mention a requirement for a squillion-whatsits-per sec modem. They multi-level market the thing - if it's as good as they claim, I'm sure that the nice bloke wouldn't mind his affliate-owned website receiving a bit of an airing but I wondered if anyone had any experience of similar offers that might (to a bit of a cynic like me) have a whiff of the too-good-to-be-true about them.

Or is it what we have been waiting for?
