There are solutions to Mudcats cash-flow problems that don't require begging, and that would address a lot of the shit-storm of the problems on all sides... (The tech and the 'personal')

Brucie... 2nd rate doesn't even begin to describe the tech aspects of Mudcat... nor the quality of most of it's posts... especially of late...

Sell a yearly 'memebership'... But give those who buy one something in return... Lemme think.. one such play I frequent did this and the 'members' got avatars, signiture fils, custom posting titles and a couple of other unnecesary but fun perks, as a way of saying thank you...

Ya right... Mudcat can't hardly run text-only as it is... I shudder to think how sluggish and crashy this place would be with images... or the whinning that'd go on from stone-agers still on 28.8 dial-up modems...

But for instance, Mudcat could look and function as well as say the Message Board at Ringbearer.org... could... and it's run by people of modest means, who have had runs of bad luck...

And it's run well...

I make suggestions because I see it as the only way of helping out... and I AM interested in helping out!
