On the "Tears of Stone" album, I believe the line translated in this thread as:

And when he returns [he'll bring silver and gold in store;]

Should rather be

And when he returns, with laurels I'll crown him all o'er.

"laurels" is sung quickly, almost one syllable ("laurls"), but makes more sense in this context.
