My advice is find a tune you really want to play - then learn it, then find another.
The trick is to find the next item you want to play so that you keep your interest. There are a lot of excellent but fairly simple fiddle tunes so it isn't too difficult (once you've learnt the basics). You need to do some exercises but I recommend learning tunes - otherwise you can quickly lose interest!
