I could really recommend the west coast of Clare, the actual place, that is ;-) Milltown is actually Milltown Malbay (two small villages joined together). Not very spectacular on its own, but every summer they host the Willy Clancy festival. Lots of great musicians and singers. The White Strand has some nice scenery (mainly cliffs), and there's a campsite as well... Right, enough of this tourist information stuff ;-)
