Some people wonder why I bother to post brief excerpts of song lyrics transcribed from sound samples. Well, this thread illustrates why. Many times I have posted an excerpt, and someone else soon afterwards posts the complete song. I'm not sure why. Maybe my excerpt piqued someone's curiosity, or caused them to recognize the song when they didn't recognize it by the title alone. Or maybe a thread with 3 messages attracts more attention than one with only 2. Or maybe it's only because I refreshed the thread, when it had dropped off the main forum page, and the right person hadn't seen it yet.
