Football is a game in which people kick a ball with their foot (or feet). Sometimes they kick it with their heads, in which case the game is renamed at the commercial break and becomes headball. The purpose of the game is to keep kids off the street, unless of course they are playing it in the street, in which case the purpose is to keep them off the grass. Adults who play take great pleasure in putting the ball--a leathery thing mad from cut up and sewn together five and six sided pieces of animal hide--into a net which is jealously guarded by a man who stands there and watches the adulds run all over the field kicking the ball. Then the fans (people who go to watch) beat the shit out of each other. Many recover from their beatings and hangovers either in jail or hospital or both. The game has rules.
