I agree about the copyright thing. My favorite part in the interview with Arlo, is where he says the copyright holder (Ludlow) doesn't give him legal advice, and he doesn't give them moral advice.

I found the parody mildly amusing the first time I saw it, but after about the 80th time (it got picked up by mainstream media) it was shown, all I could do was yawn.

My personal favorite satire of the song remains Floyd Red Crow Westerman's "This Land Is My Land, This Land Ain't Your Land". Great irony in that one.
