I recall my dad scouring the town for battery operated daleks for Christmas, every where was sold out or seemed to be, but on Christmas Day they were in the stocking. What a dad!

Could never understand why our teacher in Primary school put her foot down when we suggested that daleks be Herod's men or the bad guys in the Nativity Play, so we stuck with the good old stable scene and no massacre by Daleks or reference to Herod and the massacre of the innocents.
