Turlough -- The day I visited the Cliffs was bright and sunny with a clear blue sky, not a cloud. It was absolutely spectacular.

Only minor complaint: the place was crowded with tourists from all over Europe and the world. Of course, that was good news for the hustlers selling jewelry, etc., and the (generally excellent) buskers.

Gus O'Connor's in Doolin was fairly crowded that evening, but not so badly that four of us couldn't find a place to sit together. The music was great -- although I was a little surprised that a "traditional" session included an electric keyboard (played strictly as a bass).

Also saw a (dry) turlough during our two days in Clare, a few miles inland in The Burren, out the back window of Cassidy's Pub, where the menu features lambburgers.
