Yeah, and dead people keep voting Daley because Chicago is still running (well, if you call that running), Foolestroupe. I've recently traumitized myself by reading through the gay marriage and Georgiansilver/MartinGibson threads, so it's probably my shellshockedness. But I'm not getting your point. Could you explain? I mean, I understand that people support unsavory political leaders if they can deliver the basic services. But beyond that, this circumstance is really much more complex.
I'm a little less angry about the Washington Post confession, but not much. The US has been ripped asunder by this war and this illegitimate administration (I really don't believe Bush is calling the shots, so I refuse to just say "Bush's fault"), there is tremendous suffering going on in Iraq and throughout the Middle East because of the arrogance, greed, avarice, and incompetence of all these president's men. The illegal occupation forces of the US government are currently waging war in one of the world's largest cemeteries, and poised to blow the most sacred architectural site of millions of Shi'ite Muslims to smithereens.
The so-called "opposition" to this outlaw administration, is a man who proposes to do a better job of continuing the tremendous suffering of the Iraqi people, as well as of the Palestinian and Israeli people, and promises to continue to go full bore on the Muslim world through "America's war on terrorism" as if it were a product repackaging by a global conglomerate.
