My folks live on the south side of Sarasota, near Osprey - Pelican Cove, on the mainland side of the Intracostal Waterway. If you hear reports from that area, please let me know. they talk about Tampa and Fort Meyers, but not about Saratota - and it's a fair-sized city that's right between the other two. That makes it sound like Sarasota could be in the middle of it.
My brother lives in Sarasota and evacuated - but I haven't heard from my folks.
