A lot of people will have to make some hard choices now. That trailering lifestyle for retired individuals is very popular. Hopefully insurance will cover the lost trailers and vehicles, but the volatility of the weather will make a predictably large percentage of them think twice about replacing the trailers and returning to the same area. Some will head back to their homes in the north. There will be an impact on Florida beyond the storm damage itself, at least for a while. Meanwhile, those whose homes were damaged or destroyed may well find themselves in trailers until their permanent dwellings are repaired. Now is not a good time to try to buy a trailer in Florida or adjacent states--what remains will be very expensive.
