I don't remember early radio shows because my grandparents bought a tv as soon as they were available. I do, however, remember radio stations because we were often stationed (father: US Navy career) in places without television. I especially remember WCKY out of Cincinnati, OH. It was old style country music and bluegrass, which is probably where I began my love affair with "old" music. Another station was out of Chicago (cannot remember the station's call letters). I listened to it at night and the disc jockey's name was Dick Biondi ... moonchild
