Dear Mudcateeeers!!! Thank you (belatedly) for your loverly greetings. I was in Memphis for a conference and was untethered from my computer for a week. So I've just stumbled back in from my road trip and am ready to pass smooth out, but wanted to say hello and to let you know your good thoughts are now received and welcomed.

I had a TERRIFIC time in Memphis. The conference was good, AND I hooked up with Bill Erskine there on Harpgirl's recommendation. Went to a jam on Tuesday night and a jam on Saturday night, then we decamped to the tiniest bar in Memphis and sang and played until we wore the bar owner plumb out and she tossed us out. Also I stayed out until the weeeee hours on Friday night listening to music and dancing in a bar on Beale Street, so ... an absolutely fabulosa time was had by moi.
