Ah! Lost childhood! The phrase "bualadh bas" (sp.?) means "clap hands" and comes from a song taught in nursery schools. Wonder do I have a set of words anywhere? All I can remember is:

"Bualadh bas, bualadh bas, bualadh bas go leir"
