About 20 years ago I wrote a personal ad in which I compared myself to a car. It went something like this:

1934 Male
All original, no worn parts
Smokes a bit but can be stopped,
Ready for the short trip or the long haul.
I got over 50 letters. And I've seen copycat ads since.
