Hmmm ... No folklore on this (not much about in the bright, exceeding dry, air of Australia - but a friend's Dad was the 14th child of a 14th child. (His family lived in a sleepy little village on, the 'bush' side of the Great Dividing Range, called Sunny Corner ... and there wasn't much else to do at nights!)

If the genders of the children of both generations followed the statistical norm, there's a pretty good chance that he was the 7th son of a 7th son - although I can't recollect any 'magical' aura about him. Anyway, living in Sydney, in the post-war period he seems not to have intended to keep up the tradition ... he had 3 children; one daughter and two sons!
