Resources, yes. The Ulster Folk and Transport Museum at Cultra (North Down, near Bangor) have a set of the Lloyd's List which gives twice-weekly shipping information (including wrecks), although you'd need to check how far back their copies go. They might be able to help you out on the music aspect too. Also, the University of Ulster has a Centre for Coastal and Marine Research and have done a lot of studies on wrecks.
