My intention was to bring one of the countries top Zydeco bands to the Tavern but this has not been possible at this time. It has, however, been earmarked for the future.

However!!! The pig and marquee are ordered and the headline band ready to go so this Event–in–a-Tent is going to be one of the years exceptional Tavern Blues Sundays.

SUNDAY 29th AUGUST

"Bluesline"

Formed in 1977 and based in the Manchester area, this band perform a lively set of R7B and Blues. Now signed up with the Bluesmatters Cd label, they play a great mix of original and cover material in their own unique style. They are stylishly led by lead guitarist TonyBurgess and singer/guitarist, Tommy Carter and supported by a driving rhythm section of Rick Lacey on drums and Darren Howe on Bass.

The opening Session will start at the usual 4pm with plenty of food served up from 5pm and more music til after 7pm.

The charge for this Sunday session will be £8.00 per person incl food (don't have any lunch – it's a big pig!!!!) with children at £4.00.

Why not bring friends along for a fantastic afternoon of great music - and don't worry about the weather – it can all be under cover.
