Sonnet 19/05/01                        DLIV

I see in you a surplus of concern,
That all becomes your worry, and you bear
Too much of heartache. Does not caring earn
A place within my heart? Can I not care?
I see in you a soul that dreams, yet gives
Far more to others than perhaps you should.
Can you not hold some part, that your dream lives
In more than mind? Must future remain 'could'?
I see in you a reason to have faith,
That hope exists within this world, to hold   
Out dreams of finding one to be the lathe
To anchor kindness, and to heart's hope mold.
I see within, but wish to look in eyes,
That I might know how human angel flies.
