Last night on Oz telly, there was an episode on "Sunshine" in a programme that does some very amusing looking back at "The Way We Were" in Australia.
I was slightly surprised at the 1960s and 70s beach scenes - which included both bikini'd young women and "free beach" nudity - coz they mainly looked quite solid (NOT fat though!) - AND healthy with it!!
The same scene on our beaches in our post-"Heroin-Chic" times, would be full of far more slender (many almost anorexic) bodies held up as The Norm!!
I'd almost forgotten that, not so very long ago, it used to be QUITE preferable, NOT to be dead-skinny!!!
