i think sigurd's point is not "people at mudcat should read world press" it is that a more broad spectrum of americans should do so. i think most americans do not read news as reported in the rest of the world. you certainly find out about a lot of stuff that doesn't get mentioned here. for instance, the current report of israeli spying in the pentagon which cbs reports as if it is a shocking revelation has been reported on by various forign sources for months now.
