I saw some of the equestrian - Friday or Saturday evening, I believe. I think I saw the Irish man win (why don't they give the medals to the horses as well?).

America the Beautiful would be fine with me - I just don't really like the imagry of the lyrics in the Star Spangled Banner. The tune is fine and it is certainly different from other nations (not withstanding my earlier screw-up).

During the closing ceremonies, they awarded the medals for the marathoners (did they have to run over to the new stadium?) but I though that the bronze medal guy was supposed to be awarded the good-sportspersonship medal as well. Did I miss that?

Here's a question - are there nations that don't have words to their national song? And is it just me, or does the word "anthem" mean a song with lyrics?
