Which Old Country? I've had so many of them!

From England, I miss the pleases and thank yous the most.
From Ireland, the refusal to be bullied by time.
From Canada... well, on second thought, I'd better not write that down.
From Boston, the shish-ka-bob at Demo's in Watertown.
From San Francisco, the buffalo stew at Tommy's Joint.
When I'm away from New York, I miss the moxie.
