Perhaps we can have a bit more background, for a similar thing did happen to me.

Last year West Country TV did a programme from the area's pubs called Bendall At Bedtime, and this week, it was the turn of our local. The trouble was that it was set to be on our regular session night and no one had bothered to inform us.

I walked in, carrying banjo and bouzouki and was surprised to see this Ron Bendall, soundmen and lights. He appeared just as surprised that we intended to play tunes all through his show. It was even more complicated by the fact that every week a young lady from Plymouth finished the show by singing an original topical song every week and accompanied herself on guitar.

We did reach a compromise where they filmed us as we played along with the young lady's song. However, as with the Shropshire event, It would have been better for all concerned if there had been a little more communication in the first place.....
