I've talked to members of my family now and my brother is putting plywood on his windows and will stay put. He lives about three miles inland. My folks have their hurricane shutters up and they are on the fourth floor of a heavy 21 story building but it is only a few blocks from the coast and they face the hurricane path directly in their apt. I am so nervous...My mom is like "we're old and we've lived a good life..." I'm having a rough day, though I must say. It's a huge evacuation...not sure where everyone is going....tears...
