I don't care if every television in the nation is tuned to Fox News, that network will NEVER be fair and balanced.

I'm not interested in bashing the Bush twins, despite being opposed to their father's politics with every fiber of my being. I think it's pretty obvious their appearance wasn't the high water mark of the convention for the conventional set. But that isn't who their appearance was geared towards. The only thing missing was the MTV logo.

I think their appearance was designed to be part and parcel of the broader Bush Family product launch, just like the Kerry/Edwards families were part and parcel of the Kerry/Edwards product launch. There is a spread in this week's People Magazine, they were interviewed for Entertainment Tonight, etc etc. They wouldn't be there is there wasn't a demographic they were aiming to hit.

Interesting to note there can't really be a Bush/Cheney Family product launch because of the flawed, Achilles heel the Cheney family has in the eyes of the True Believers. They are "afflicted", as we all know, with a lesbian daughter. So the Happy Families promo won't work for the Repubs, hence the MTV appeal of the Bush twins, as sort of a smokescreen, you see. While everyone is busy bashing the twins, they won't be asking about "that Cheney girl" and go poking around on the dark side of Republican closet full of skeletons.

But I have to admit, I wasn't all that impressed by the Kerry kids either.

The last "kid" I was impressed with was JFK Jr. Now that boy had it all.
