Tom Clancy, in his better novels (the Jack Ryan ones), made the point that the Democrats and Reprobates, sorry, Republicans, usually get voted for by people whose minds are already made up. Elections are decided by that 10% group of 'uncommitted' voters. I doubt this election will be very different in that regard. The campaign leading to a win for Bush or Kerry will necessitate that sufficient numbers of undecideds have an issue over which to GET riled up within two days of the election. (Unfortunately, the Diebold votes are a wild card.) The Kerry crew needs to find a piece of information that is very damaging to Bush, and release that info with proof good enough to influence people before Bush and the gang have time to spin-control it. There is where victory resides, IMO.
