G'day celtaddict,
The one you heard was different - Take Me Down The Harbour - an old popular song (from the early 20s ... ?) that was collected by John Meredith from the repertoire of Ina Popplewell, a little old lady who sold crumpled bunches of flowers about the Sydney coffee shops in the early 1950s.
I suspect that the recording was a Canberra-based group - whose name currently escapes me. I can supply words and tune if you are interested ... but I can't help with Shombo's scurrilous offering!
(And how did Hrothgar sabotage my reply of last night ... that should be straight after his posting?!?)
