Sonnet 29/05/01                        DLXIII

I see a bit of heaven in your eyes,
And know that I have found for certain one
Full-fledged angel. Not even Earthly guise
Can hide your truth from me, though perhaps none
Other has seen your soul. You hold the key
To heart's desire, yet wield a sword of fire
Against unreason. Are my dreams to be
Unlocked by you? Or, should I hopes retire?

I seek for dreams, and hopes, and heart's desire,
Yet do not know if I dare hold you here,
On mortal plane. You might my verse inspire,
But can I ever hope to hold you near?
Could I bring dreams to life, would I heart reach,
To hold you near, and mortal pleasures teach?
