Trends in casual clothing tend to work their way from the teens who initially adopt them to the adult population. But I haven't seen any adults adopting the jeans-at-half-mast look. It seems to belong solely the age group that's too old to be told how to dress by Mom and Dad but not old enough to realize that most people aren't really interested in looking at someone else's boxer shorts.
