Stilly, I only hope you live to see the day when scientific advancements into this field leave you eating your words here. Some of us - not only the usual new-age "flakes" but some of the worlds finest thinkers - MD's, internists, PhD's and other scientific researchers - do know first-hand that traditional Eastern philosophy / medical principles regarding vital life-force energy (chi or mana)are valid; that they do have practical, beneficial and most promising applications in the field of medicine and public health; and that there must be an as-yet undiscovered scientific explanation for this.

There are many reliable-looking scientific studies into energetic healing underway right now at the world's finest universities, hospitals and medical clinics. If anyone is interested in knowing more, please check the thread that Stilly linked to here for more information about a few of them, as well as Wolgang's expert advice about how to assess them (and thanks again for your help with that, Wolfgang).

In light of these facts, that vital and badly-needed "scientific explanation" may come a lot sooner than anyone expects. So whatever "side" you find yourself rooting for at this time, it would probably be wisest to make sure your comments are at least respectful, even if you can't manage to make them "sweet". That way it'll be much more pleasant to eat them if and when the time comes.
