Thread Name: Lyr Req: She Has Forgotten
Subject: Lyr Add: SHE HAS FORGOTTEN
These are the lyrics I have, from an elderly uncle who loves sing-a-longs and has them typed for such use. The original source is unknown to me.

SHE HAS FORGOTTEN

Back to my hometown I wandered one day.
It seemed that the old gang had drifted away.
I wandered down mainstreet, the view to enjoy.
When I met with the girl I loved as a boy.

She glanced at me calmly, and calmly walked by.
She didn't recall me for years had gone by.
She has forgotten the love we once knew.
She has forgotten; can it be true?

(Chorus)
Gone are the days when our hearts beat as one,
All I can say now is see what you've done.
Gone are the days when we thrilled to each vow.
She has forgotten everything now.

I still have her picture, her face sweet and fair.
And the rose that she gave me, and a lock of her hair.
I treasure and keep them, it's silly I know,
For she has forgotten long, long ago.

Chorus

I suspect that the chorus should be sung 3 times, instead of the 2 indicated, but I have no facts to back that up.

In this case I am only a reporter.
