Well, I'm in Pensacola for the night but I'm going to BATTEN DOWN THE HATCHES THIS WEEK. My State Farm insurance is not going to pay my claim because they raised the deductible to seven thousand dollars and wrote a clause in the policy that says if there is a hurricane watch anywhere in Florida no regular deductibles apply until 72 hours after the last hurricane warning. So I'm screwed if a bigger hurricane hits my house....harpy

It sounds like your state insurance commissioner is in the pocket of the big insurance companies. Perhaps if a large enough cluster of folks get burned, it will be enough to generate a class-action lawsuit against the company or the commisser's office (or both).
