Subject: Lyr Add: THIRSTY BOOTS (Eric Andersen)
Wasabi,

Boy, are you in luck. I should be cleaning my house, but I have decided I can enhance your life (instead of my own) and have more fun if I give you some chords.

These were modified from RUS (Rise Up Singing, a songbook) which also has Violets of Dawn. I know that song even less well than I do this one, so I won't attempt proper chord placement. Perhaps someone else will try.

THIRSTY BOOTS
(Eric Andersen)

C................Em.....Am...Am/G
You've long been on the open road
.............F..............C
You've been sleepin in the rain
..................Em.......Am.....Am/G
From the dirt of words and mud of cell
......Dm....................G
Your clothes are dark and stained.
.........C....Em........Am....Am/G
But the dirty words and muddy cells
......F................C
Will soon be judged insane
..................F........C
So only stop and rest yourself,
.....Dm..............G
Till you'll be off again.

......C.............F
Then take off your thirsty boots
.....C..........F
And stay for awhile
C.............Em......Am...Am/G
Your feet are hot and wear--y
Dm............G
From a dusty mile
.....C...........F
And maybe I can make you laugh
C...........F
Maybe if I try
..........C......Em......Am...Am/G
I'm just lookin' for the eve--ning
Dm.......G...............C
And the morning in your eyes.

Enjoy the song. The rest of the lyrics are here.
