Now wot is all this ceilidh bashing? - have any of you observed at concerts these days?

I still have to wear earplugs at concerts (when there is no dancing or sessions)

I keep banging-on about volume to everyone who will listen - and they appear to have suffered hearing loss. Why oh why do we need such volume? if there were less at the concert there would be no excuse for it in the dance tent. and the distance would be irrelavant. Trust me I am an electronic designer. All it needs for dancing is to inform the feet. No more. Or shuffling bums in a concert. - even the beer tent had to move to reduce noise.

One year ar Bromyard when the 'lectrics overloaded, mid dance, the only instrument that could play accoustically was the saxaphone. After the earbashing, it took a while to adjust BUT the saxaphone kept going and so did we.

How ever did the Victorians manage? You know - the folk in what we call Folk.

If you disagree with me - don't tell me at a ceilidh - I will be wearing earplugs.
