Hi, I haven't chatted on mudcat for a while, but this one grabbed my attention. I live in England and went to visit a friend in Asheville in NC a few years ago. I went to that club in black mountain and it was amazing. All the local groups were playing outside as well as inside. In Asheville itself there were a few bars that had folk nights and I was very disappointed because I missed the annual folk festival in the summer. There seems to be a lot going on there!!
