We had a kid incident almost exactly as described above. We maintained composure. On the break someone told the organizer to talk to the parents. It turns out, they left at that point, so it was academic. Kids don't learn how to behave at live events if they're not taken to any. On the other hand, they won't learn with parents who don't have a clue.
