Dave, I was going to ask you what's the name of the Woody Guthrie track, but I got smart and looked it up on Amazon and see he called it "Springfield Mountain."
It's not only Woody that sang this song in that unusual way, with nonsense syllables splitting words. Is there a story behind this practice, and is this done in other songs?
